On July 11, 2022, the Hungarian government submitted the bill, also known as the "KATA law", which was passed by a parliamentary vote on Tuesday, which will disable nearly 400,000 small entrepreneurs who pay taxes according to KATA.
According to the new legislation, KATA contractors cannot issue invoices to corporate customers, therefore they cannot work for companies, they can only invoice residential customers and private individuals.
A demonstration against the bill was organized in front of the Hungarian Parliament at 10 a.m. on Tuesday morning.
The mostly peaceful demonstrations continued in the days that followed. I went to the event on Wednesday, which also started from Kossuth Square, and I caught up with them around the Nyugati railway station, and then I walked with them to Oktogon.
